The Allied Health Science addition is to the original Health Science building designed by Bay in the early 1990s. The new addition has a triangular plan concept to respond to site restrictions and to allow it to seamlessl
y connect to the original building. Building features include state-of-the-art laboratories, tiered lecture classrooms, computer labs and administrative offices. The project is aimed for LEED Silver Certification and
includes such sustainable features as a solar screen on the southwest wall,
daylighting throughout, and a rainwater harvesting system which allows
for no potable water used for landscaping.
