Completed in 1998, this 38,543 s.f., $4,800,000 justice center acts as a stabilizing piece of the overall Texas City master plan. The site, which rests on a major traffic artery, provides easy access to all parts of the city.

The Texas City Criminal Justice Center houses the municipal court, the police department, emergency command center, police firing range and the central computer center. The design of this facility placed great emphasis on technology in order to meet the growing needs of a 21st century police department.

The Municipal Court is easily accessed by the lobby which also provides easy access to the police records department. All entrances to the police and jail areas are secured with a proximity card reader, while the outside of the facility is monitored by a closed circuit television system.
