In 1990, South Main Baptist Church decided to relocate its campus to a 12 acre site on Beltway 8 in Pasadena.
The site was master planned for a congregation of up to 2,000 (the original church's attendance jumped from 450 to 1,200 in just a few years). The design included a sanctuary, fellowship hall (convert into classrooms), pre-school, classrooms, library and administration offices.
Due to the significant growth of South Main Baptist Church, an expansion plan was developed in 1998. The new addition included an expanded pre-school area, adult classrooms, children's classrooms, expanded kitchen, and family life center consisting of a gym, game/craft rooms and locker rooms.
