This project included 2 additions: a fine arts area and a competition gym, along with phased renovations throughout the facility. As the renovations took place, inconsistencies with the existing exterior brick connections were found. After careful analysis, it was determined that the entire face brick exterior and back-up wall needed to be replaced. Due to potential dangers on site, the school was vacated while replacement options were studied, construction documents assembled, CMA contractor selected, CMA contract approved, permitting and replacement construction took place. The school remained unoccupied for only one school year.
