David Crockett Middle School, Fort Bend ISD's thirteenth middle school, is 228,560 square feet in area located on 29 acres of land in the subdivision of Mission Bend in Richmond, Texas. The two-story school serves over 1,200 sixth, seventh and eight grade students. The design of the plan encompasses a centralized administration area on the first floor and a resource center on the second, flanked on either side by core curriculum classroom wings. In addition, a fine arts wing, a commons area, vocational suites, boys & girls locker room facilities and two full-size gymnasiums complete the floor plan layout. The site includes a competition football field, practice field, softball/baseball practice fields, tennis courts and three parking areas. The project cost was estimated at $26.4 million.
