This 84,000 s.f. new elementary school is designed to house 900 PreK-5th grade students. The linear floor plan, which was influenced by the sloping site, was developed through intensive planning workshops with district administrators, teachers and parents. Due to a surge in construction costs in 2004, the architects provided the district with several add alternate options that could be easily added to meet the budget. Ultimately, the base bid came in within budget, thus allowing Brenham ISD to include an additional 4-classroom alternate.
