The 750-student intermediate school was designed around a "pod" concept with groupings of six classrooms organized around a multipurpose space. Each of the five "pods" includes two science rooms, a storage room, staff restroom, and work/conference room. The two-story library is the unifying space in the facility. A large open skylight allows natural light to filter throughout this important space. The cafeteria, music room and gymnasium are all strategically grouped together as to not disrupt any academic activities.
